Romain Retsin

At an early age Romain developed the strong will to become a top-level athlete, and he worked very hard to perform better and better. Coming from Montpellier, he soon set out to compete in various sports-events such as tennis, judo and ski.

Finally he chose skiing as his major and at age 11 he joined the « sports & studies » section at Bourg-Saint-Maurice, where he learned to build up his physical capacities.
Having reached a very high level in skiing, he decided to explore the then unknown field of snowboarding. Soon he realized that this sport suited him best and so he turned pro. At age 18 Romain finished 2nd place at his first appearance in the European Championship. And the following year, he finished third at the World Championship and took the lead in the world cup.
Having won several World cups in the 1990´s, he finally reached his biggest goal in 1997: World Champion of snowboard.
Right after his victory the Broadcasting company Eurosport (at this time "Sport+") asked him, to join them as a technical consultant for its tv-shows.
In 2004, he discovered the world of Golf and finally got addicted to the game. He found the same things in the world of golf he loved so much about snowboarding: the spirit, the need of mental-balance, the motion-control in the heart of nature.

Today, 33 years old, Romain decides to devote his life to golf, to transfer his knowledge of physical preparation to the Biomecaswing-Concept of JJ Rivet, for amateurs as well as for professional players.
