Enhancing performance has always been in the focus of Dr. Lutz Graumann’s work. Starting his medical career in 1994 he soon realized that his desires in the professional field were close to those of his private life: Sports.
Fortunately he was able to imply this in his career with the help of the German sporting goods manufacturer Adidas. Between 1995 and 1999 the U.S. based research departement used his expertise in functional anatomy and biomechanics to imply his medical knowledge in top level performance products for the Olympic Games in Sydney. After several research programs in the U.S., Canada and Germany he became a capacity in performance footwear.
Today he still works with the Adidas-Salomon group and with Sidas, a French company specialized in fit solutions for athletes.
Challenges dominated his working and private life after accepting a full scholarship of the German Bundeswehr. Since 1995 he is working on and off with NATO Special Forces. Taking and giving challenges around the world included extreme climate, physical and mental conditions.
After receiving the full medical approbation in 2002 Lutz Graumann joined the armed forces sports academy in the German Alps as a practicing doctor and a lecturer for sports-medicine, training-physiology and nutrition.
Working with different groups of athletes he learned that training-methods and nutritional concepts had varying impacts on the individual.
With the help of an interdisciplinary network Dr. Graumann created a holistic health coaching program that included the different perspectives of health, behavior and performance.
Since 2004 he is working with Prof. JJ Rivet in the field of R&D and just recently joined his Biomecaswing-Team.
